How to Print a Postcard

Postcards are small printed pieces of mail that are used for promotions, menus, marketing purposes, and event handouts. They are a great way to make a statement or call to action. In order to print a postcard, you will need the right supplies, including a printer, card stock, and scissors. You will also need the correct size and type of paper.

The design on a postcard has to be more than just pretty. It has to be easy to read, machineable, and durable enough for postal handling. You can even include clip art and photos. These can be added to a postcard template in Adobe Photoshop.

The best postcards are printed on thick, quality paper. The thickness should be at least 0.178 mm. This will help the postcard hold up well to the bending forces of the postal machine.

The best Postcards will also have a clear and readable address. This is especially important if the postcard does not have an envelope. The address can be on the opposite side of the postcard.

A postcard should be rectangular in shape, and at least 105 mm tall and 148 mm wide. It should also be made from thick paper, and should be of the same color as the background.

The post office requires a certain amount of space to leave room for the postage. The postage itself will be paid for using a standard stamp. You can also include an embossing or sticker to make the postcard look more attractive.
